LW-9091 CPU Cooler Thermal Resistance Measurement Apparatus & LW-9221 Multi-Axial Press Load Apparatus
LW-9091 CPU Cooler Thermal Resistance Measurement Apparatus & LW-9221 Multi-Axial Press Load Apparatus simulates a working condition for heat sinks. A controllable dummy heating module is behind the specimen as an IC, and an adjustable press load device is above the specimen as a fixture. By measuring the temperature points in the meter bar, the heat flux and the thermal resistance of specimens can be determined.

LW-9221 Multi-Axial Press Load Apparatus
Principle
The meter bar is made of copper. Heaters are embedded at the bottom of the side of this meter bar. Thermal isolation material wraps this meter bar to reduce heat loss. In this meter bar, there are 3 temperature points, Tu, Tm, Tl. According to Fourier law, the heating power Q and the case temperature of meter bar Tc are determined as following:
X1: The distance between Tl and Tu, 50mm
A: The heat transfer are fo the meter bar, 25.4 x 25.4 mm2
Km: The thermal conductivity of the meter bar, 385 Wm/k
X2: The distance between Tcase and Tu
