In-Plane Thermal Diffusivity & Conductivity Test
To measure the in-plane thermal diffusivity and conductivity of thermal graphite and other anisotropic materials, based on the Angstrom Method. For this test, we use a LongWin LW-9614 measurement apparatus.
Experimental Items:
- Graphite Materials
Tests:
- Thermal Diffusivity
- Thermal Conductivity
- Sinusoidal Temperature Waveform
- Correlation of Amplitude and Phase Difference
Example:
- Sinusoidal Temperature Waveform
- Specimens and the Clamping Mechanism for Temperature Sensors
- Distance between the two sensors from 10 to 100 mm
- Specimen Dimension:
- Length: > 300 mm
- Width: 20 ~ 30 mm
- Thickness: 0.02 ~ 0.6 mm
- Tension stress for specimens: 100 ~ 1000 gf/mm²
- Software for DAQ Analysis
- Calculate the correlation of amplitudes and phase differences
- Get the value of thermal diffusivity
- Specific heat and density of the specimen can be manually keyed-in for parameters acquiring a corresponding thermal conductivity
